welcome to the 2010
critical commodities conference

April 2010!

The CCC folks are hard at work putting together a new and exciting agenda for the 2010 CCC.  This year's agenda will also capitalize on previous successes by expanding to feature such products as fresh fruits and solar power.

Some of our other speakers will include:

  • Michael R. Haverty, CEO, Kansas City Southern Railway Company
  • P S Venkataramanan, CEO, (U.S & Canada Long Products) Arcelor Mittal
  • Renowned steel expert in our steel line-up, Peter Marcus, World Steel Dynamics, and
  • Erik L. Johnsen, President, International Shipholding Corporation

Notes from the experts:

"We are pleased with the growth of our Critical Commodities Conference.  The 2010 C.C.C. is projecting good attendance in these trying times.  We've recruited a fine array of speakers who are well known in the International Trade community, and domestic transportation as well.  We've got something for shippers of bulk, breakbulk and containerized cargoes, not to mention heavy-lift pieces," states Eric Hansen, Conference Chairman, "The timing of the Conference could not be better.  Springtime in New Orleans is sprinkled with fun things to do, and places to go.  By having the Conference at the Hilton Riveside, our Attendees are in a perfect location, very near the French Quarter, and only minutes from St. Charles Avenue , the Museum District, the Garden District and the University Section of the city."

"This year's conference will offer a broad array of top executives sharing their thoughts on the commodities and goods as well as the transportation issues that are the basis of the global economy.  The last two years have been very difficult for the international trade community, and these speakers will share their insights on the products and markets that are most likely to rebound soonest. Whether your interest is in energy production, food products, or construction materials, this conference will have it all," Robert M. Landry, Marketing Director of the Port of New Orleans.
